What is Eethon Smile?

Eethon Smile is a dental device which gives the patient a picture perfect smile. It requires no invasive procedures and the dentist is just required to take an impression and sent it to our laboratory. Eethon Smile stays on the teeth by engaging the undercuts around the teeth, so it does not impinge on gum tissue nor does it cover the roof of your mouth, making it look and feel very natural.

Eethon Smile is easily removable, completely reversible and is an excellent option for patients looking for a non-invasive, temporary approach to cosmetic dentistry. Eethon Smile can also be a way to “test drive” a new smile before committing to a more expensive and permanent cosmetic dental procedures for patients.

Will Eethon Smile affect speech?

There will be a temporary adjustment period as the patient gets used to having something new in their mouth. This is very common and most people report that their speech is back to normal within 2 weeks. Wearing the Eethon Smile all day will allow the patient to return to their normal speech much quicker.

Will wearing Eethon Smile damage the natural teeth?

Eethon Smile will not damage the natural teeth.

How long does the process take?

During the first brief appointment, you will determine if the Eethon Smile is suitable for the patient and, if it is, you will take an impression of the patients existing teeth. Once the lab receives the impressions, we will start working on the appliance and have it ready for you by the patients next appointment.

The patient can simply come in and the eethon smile will pop right onto their teeth and they can wear it home.

Does Eethon Smile come in different shades like crowns and dentures do? Can it be customized?

We can choose from several teeth shades and smile shapes, providing an array of choices for this custom fitted appliance. It can be made to cover a quadrant, or full upper and/or lower arches to fit almost any patient’s needs. Upper and lower appliances can be worn simultaneously.

How long is an Eethon Smile appliance expected to last?

The Eethon Smile appliance is expected to last about 12 months and possibly longer with proper care, the sam
